The Deep Reefs of the Far East Expedition plunges into the mesophotic zone, a realm lying beneath 100 meters depth that remains largely unexplored. Working in collaboration with local universities and research institutions, Unseen Expeditions orchestrates a symphony of scientific inquiry, where seasoned scientists, expert divers, and native specialists converge to unravel the secrets of this submerged landscape.

The Maluku Archipelago emerges as a biodiversity hotspot, boasting a kaleidoscope of marine life ranging from enigmatic invertebrates to majestic marine mammals. Despite its ecological significance, this region stands as one of Indonesia's least studied areas, beckoning exploration and discovery.

Venturing into the depths, divers navigate the abyssal realms, reaching staggering depths of up to 140 meters. Amidst the darkness, they unveil a trove of mesophotic treasures, cataloging over 100 species of fish, including 12 newfound species indigenous to Indonesia and 37 species previously unseen at such profound depths.
