Since the launch in 1953 of the Fifty Fathoms, the first true diver's watch, Blancpain has maintained an unfailing commitment to exploring, preserving, and achieving a better understanding of the world's oceans. For more than 70 years, this dedication has been intensified and diversified through multiple partnerships. In 2014, in addition to Blancpain's annual support to expeditions and major oceanographic projects, the Brand introduced a first series of limited edition Blancpain Ocean Commitment (BOC) timepieces. Following the success of this watch and the positive message it conveyed, the manufacture extended this initiative in 2016 and unveiled a third BOC timepiece in 2018.
Fifty Fathoms
Ocean Commitment III
The most recent Fifty Fathoms Ocean Commitment III features the main characteristics of the 1953 model, which has defined the finest diving watches for the entire watchmaking industry ever since.
Loyal to the DNA of the original watch, the BOC III timepiece houses a reliable and robust self-winding movement, caliber 1151, which achieves a four-day power reserve.
Blue in color as a reference to the oceans, its dial bears the BOC logo at 6 o'clock.
The watch is offered in a 40 mm-diameter satin-brushed steel case, an exclusive diameter reserved for limited-edition Fifty Fathoms timepieces.

Ocean Commitment II
The Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Flyback Chronograph Ocean Commitment II features for the first time an all-blue ceramic case.
It is equipped with calibre F385 whose balance bets at 5 Hz, an ideal frequency for a chronograph as it enables each second to be divided into intervals of tenth of a second.
The BOC II timepiece incorporates all the technical characteristics of a mechanical diver's watch. In particular, it is water-resistant up to 30 bar and has a unidirectional rotating bezel with hour-markers in Liquidmetal®.
The oscillating weight of the watch is engraved with the inscription 'Ocean Commitment' linking it to Blancpain's commitment to the exploration and preservation of the oceans.

Flyback Chronograph
Ocean Commitment I
The Bathyscaphe is a legendary name at Blancpain. Three years after the 1953 debut of the original Fifty Fathoms fulfilling the needs of professional divers in underwater conditions, Blancpain introduced the Bathyscaphe as a civilian version whose size would be adapted to daily wear.
Although it reflects over 70 years of Blancpain Fifty Fathoms diver's watch tradition, the BOC I timepiece features the Brand's in-house movement F385.
Aesthetically, the watch is housed in a gray ceramic case, with a ceramic crown and ceramic chronograph pushers, as well as a unidirectional blue ceramic rotating bezel.
