TAMATAROA: a new film dedicated to Tatiana Boube’s PhD research
A new film dedicated to the TAMATAROA Project is now available, marking the project’s final phase. Developed in collaboration with Gombessa Expeditions and the Mokarran Protection Society, this long term initiative is dedicated to the conservation of one of the ocean’s most iconic and endangered species: the great hammerhead shark (Sphyrna mokarran).
This latest film focuses on the PhD research led by Tatiana Boube, which lies at the heart of the current phase of the project. Her work aims to deepen scientific understanding of the species’ ecology, movements and key habitats in French Polynesia, providing essential knowledge to support future conservation and management measures.
Initiated and supported by Blancpain, which also provides long term support to Tatiana Boube’s doctoral research, the TAMATAROA Project reflects a long standing commitment to marine science rooted in time, fieldwork and scientific rigour.
