The Protectors
The Protectors ocean film series examines the cutting edge science and radical thinking at work in tackling the crisis facing the world’s seas. The series reflects the passion of those at the front line of marine biology, and tells the story of the challenge now confronting us as we explore the world’s oceans.
Mokarran
The great hammerhead shark, Sphyrna mokarran, is an understudied shark species mainly due to its cryptic and migratory nature. However, studies suggest that the species is globally subject to a variety of anthropogenic stressors.
Pangatalan
Pangatalan: Rebirth of an Island – a documentary film presenting the inspiring work of the Sulubaaï Environmental Foundation, a Philippine-based non-profit organization dedicated to conserve, protect, and restore the natural resources of Palawan Island.
Fregate Island
In 2018, as part of its long-standing Ocean Commitment program, Blancpain initiated an experimental coral restoration project on Fregate Island in collaboration with the eponymous resort, Coralive.org, and other partners.
